Professionals from across the footwear sector have submitted thousands of individual votes to make sure that their voices are heard at the 2019 edition of the Footwear Industry Awards.
With the scheme taking another step towards the big reveal, now is the time to secure a ticket for the unmissable awards ceremony – where another wave of innovative brands, creative retailers and passionate individuals will be inducted into the prestigious hall of fame.
Tickets can be purchased online on the Footwear Industry Awards website and with a limited number available, those that wish to attend are encouraged to book now to avoid disappointment.
What’s next?
The online vote has produced a shortlist of five companies or individuals in each category, which will be announced in January. In the ‘retailer’ and ‘industry’ categories, the vote has also decided the winners – the recipient of the highest number of votes – however, there are still plenty of decisions to be made.
In the ‘brand’ categories, the top five shortlisted companies produced by the online vote will now face the scrutiny of a panel of independent industry experts – who will rigorously review each brand and decide upon the winners.
The judging panel will also be tasked with picking a winner in the ever hotly-contested Shop Front of the Year category. This particular category remains open for entries, with retailers being able to submit their finest examples of creativity and imagination until Friday 11 January.
Shop Front of the Year
Cheryl Taylor, senior editor of Footwear Today, says: “The quality of entries in the Shop Front of the Year category gets better and better every year, which is hardly surprising given the innovative and vibrant nature of the footwear industry.
“Window displays are essential to the footwear sector – it shows the world what is on offer and draws the customer in to try and potentially buy. With that in mind, we want to see the very best shop fronts that footwear retailers have to offer – whether it be a sleek and simple design that catches customers’ eyes or an extravagant work of art that inspires awe.”
The Shop Front of the Year winner will not only be honoured with the prestigious accolade at the Awards ceremony, but will also receive £1,500 worth of holiday vouchers.
Entries can be submitted through the quick and easy online form available on the Footwear Industry Awards website. Nominations from agents and manufacturers are also accepted with the retailers permission.
